The list of the main control and inspection points for purchasers is as follows:

Requirements common to all purchasers

Economic solidarity
puce  Moderation in profit margins (justification of a profit margin lower than or equal to the one applied to an equivalent conventional product)
puce  Mixed operators: commitment to achieve an increasing Turnover in EFT products

Environmental and social responsibility
puce  Respect for the requirements applied to industrial processes (separation and traceability measures, use of additives, GMOs, etc.)
puce  Use of “eco-friendly” packaging
puce  Various actions to limit the environmental impact of paper advertising materials

Transparency of information
puce  Respect for the eligibility percentages for product formulations
puce  Information to be transmitted on his activity relative to the commodity chain description
puce  Familiarity with ECOCERT standards: internal training and information sessions on the key principles of fair trade

Social responsibility

Additional requirements for the marketing manager

Economic solidarity
puce  Direct contact with the production organisation (unless an exemption applies due to reasons of competition)
puce  Partnership fund is paid into jointly by the production organisation and the support operator

Transparency of information

  • Transmission of information given to the consumer:
    • Compilation of information from other actors: the commodity chain description is co-created
    • The commodity chain description, efficiency study and environmental impact assessment are published online
    • Information provided on the product is presented in compliance with the rules laid out in the standards (labelling)
  • Raising of public awareness and participation in the debate: participation in public or professional exhibitions in collaboration with other partners
